Thanks

Thanks to The Adjective Nouns for including us in their Rivoli show on January 25th. The crowd was enthusiastic, and it's a great room to play. Especially good was the other opening act, Big Tease.

Rivoli
Cheers to all who came out to see the show.

Yes indeed, we're auditioning!

Rv_auditions_poster_2011

PLEASE DISTRIBUTE THIS TO ANYONE YOU THINK MAY BE INTERESTED. HELP US GET THE WORD OUT!

Radio Vault, the Toronto-based sketch comedy troupe, is looking for one new MALE cast member.

...You should be:
* able to play a variety of characters
* interested in sketch comedy, particularly radio and audio sketch comedy
* interested in performing live and working in the recording studio to create podcasts.
* committed to working within a group
* able to attend meetings and recording sessions on a regular basis. Because we perform from scripts, the schedule is pretty light. Aside from shows, we’re talking about maybe 15 hours a month. Everyone’s time is important, so we ask that you take the commitment to the group seriously. Our next show dates are January 25, 2011 (supporting The Adjective Nouns) at the Rivoli, and a new, full-length show on February 24, 2011 at Comedy Bar.
* willing to sign a simple contract that lays out rights and compensation for both you and the group.

Bonus points if:
* you can do convincing accents, or even funny cartoon accents.
* sing
* write sketches

Audition details:
Location: Bad Dog Theatre, 138 Danforth Avenue, Studio 2.
Date and time: Thursday, January 6, 2011, 7:00 to 10:00 p.m.
Format:
* Open audition, no appointments. First come, first seen.
* Bring or Email to us beforehand: your acting resume and a headshot.
* Prepare a one- to two-minute comedic monologue. You may read it; we are looking for voice quality and character choice. You will also be asked to cold-read two sketches with members of the troupe.

For a sample of the sort of material we do, you can listen to our podcasts by clicking on "Podcasts" at the top of this page.

If you have any questions please get in touch with Neil, the producer, at jonnejo@gmail.com
